Smugglers Blues: Inside the Gaza Concentration Camp

"Whereas the restaurant above is one of those popular with wealthier Gazans, the pictures below show life for ordinary people in Gaza. These photos of Gaza are from the November 26, 2009 edition of the Hamas-controlled Gazan newspaper, Palestine Today. The photos show one of Gaza's fruit and vegetable markets, a cake shop, and a children's toy store in Gaza city. Hardly the "World War II-era concentration camp" that some Western journalists have claimed Gaza resembles."

"Gaza'S Olympic-Sized Swimming Pool A Palestinian newspaper photo (May 18, 2010) shows Gazan children in the newly built Olympic-sized swimming pool which opened earlier in May 2010, despite continuing claims by some Western journalists and NGOs that there are no building materials and a severe shortage of water in Gaza."

Wait just a minute, don't the Jews run the media in the United States? What the hell is going on here? Does anybody know? Is all of stuff really in Gaza? No?
I don't know myself, I've never been there.

Maybe the olympic sized swimming pool is actually there and the Palestinians are just really, really proficient at smuggling stuff through make-shift tunnels(?)

"If you drop into the Roots Club in Gaza, according to the Lonely Planet guidebook, you can 'dine on steak au poivre and chicken cordon bleu'”

OK, yeah, but have you actually TRIED it? Maybe it's made from salvaged Israeli boot leather or something(?)

Google Map of Gaza

How many back yard swimming pools can you count?

QUESTION: Why doesn't Google have street view enabled inside the Gaza Strip? You would think that an area of such intense interest would have street view enabled.

UPDATE: The olympic sized swimming pool appears to actually be in Beijing(China)! Beijing National Aquatics Center

Thanks to Drew Carter for pointing that out and doing my fact checking for me!
