A Brave New World

Morgan MacLean

My take on Aldous Huxley's 'Brave New World' and the similarities of the society he envisioned and the one we live in today. Many of the opinions shared in this video may not be popular, especially the point I make about drug decriminalization, but are nonetheless true.

Scientists say ‘invisible aliens’ live among us

In it, Dr Chi revealed that he believes not only in invisible aliens living here on Earth, but in the theory they’re interbreeding with humans in order to create a hybrid species capable of surviving the effects of climate change. Absolutely crazy, you might think, but Dr Chi went so far as to write a book arguing for such beliefs, titled Alien Visitations and the End of Humanity.

The new Church of the AI God is even creepier than I imagined

"We don't think that there are ways to actually stop this from happening (nor should we want to) and that this feeling of we must stop this is rooted in 21st century anthropomorphism (similar to humans thinking the sun rotated around the earth in the 'not so distant' past)," WOTF says.

But doesn't anthropomorphism mean applying human characteristics to non-humans and objects?

Levandowski didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. He did, however, tell Wired: "We'd like to make sure this is not seen as silly or scary."
